Sea Center Texas - Lake Jackson, Texas
The focus of Sea Center is the marine life of Texas bays and Gulf waters. Aquatic habitats from coastal marshes, bays, estuaries and the Gulf of Mexico are depicted in a unique series of habitats, aquariums, touch tanks, etc.

Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center - Athens, Texas
This Center houses a hatchery, laboratory, aquarium, and educational center focusing on underwater wildlife in the state's freshwater streams, ponds, and lakes. Features also include a wetlands trail, alligator exhibit, an opportunity to fish and picnic areas. Includes an online curriculum here: Fish School

Fairfield State Park - near Dallas, Texas
Did you know that Texas has Bald Eagles? The southern population of Bald Eagles arrive in Texas in early fall, start nest maintenance on pre-existing nests or building new nests generally in October, lay eggs in November, hatch eggs around Christmas and young fledge normally in March. At Fairfield Lake the state park runs eagle tours during cold months. When eagles are present, you can glimpse them from hiking trails that follow the bank.
